Africa's top artistes collaborate
Ghana’s hip-hop/hip-life musician Sarkodie is among a team of six of Africa’s top artistes collaborating on a song as part of a forthcoming MultiChoice Africa campaign.
Sarkodie is joined by Lola Rae, a British singer of Nigerian/Ghanaian descent who gained recognition as a dancer in the street dance group “Myztika”.
Others are Davido, a Nigerian/American recording artist, performer, and record producer, Bongo Flava recording artist, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, and Mi Casa, a South African band.
The campaign will be unveiled in Mauritius on a date to be confirmed.
MultiChoice Africa’s CEO Nico Meyer said that the “campaign provides the ideal platform to showcase meaningful change among the people of Africa”.
He added that the collaboration of award-winning African artists “will be the glue that binds communities together creating a catalyst for change”.
