Ghana rejects Mexico, Japan friendlies; will play Kenya on June 1

Footy-ghana.com can exclusively confirm that the Ghana Football Association has decided against accepting invitations from Mexico and Japan to play friendly matches with the Black Stars because of the closeness of the crucial World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Khartoum.
According to our well-placed sources, Ghana will now camp in Kenya and play against the Harambee Stars in a friendly match on June 1, after which they will move to Sudan four clear days before the crucial game on June 8.
Footy-ghana.com had earlier revealed that Mexico had wanted to play against the Black Stars on June 4 in the USA, whilst Japan had wanted to host the Black Stars around the same time, but proximity with Sudan led to the GFA rejecting the two proposals.
After Ghana’s qualifier against Sudan on June 8, the Black Stars will then travel to Maseru to face Lesotho on June 16.
