Bawumia Speaks: Police Inspected Scene & Were Notified Of Decision To Tow Vehicle

Contrary to the earlier report that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was unwilling to co-operate with the Police Service regarding investigations into the near-fatal accident involving Dr Bawumia on the Bole-Bamboi Road last Sunday, Peacefmonline.com can confirm that a report was made to the Bole Police within an hour of the accident.
Additionally, the Police in Bole were notified of the decision to tow the vehicle to Accra after the scene of the accident and the vehicle were inspected.
A statement issued from the Office of Dr Bawumia on Friday and signed by the Press Aide, Kwabena Boadu, (who was also involved in the said accident) stressed that since the accident they have continued to cooperate with the Ghana Police Service through the Northern Regional Police Command dealing particularly with the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Tuffour.
“At the request of the Northern Regional Police Command, the office on Thursday morning submitted various documents including the Driver’s License, Vehicle Road Worthiness papers and documents on the vehicle’s insurance cover to the Northern Regional Police Command in Tamale,” the statement read.
