Kessben Outreach Foundation builds new school building for Kansanso DA

Kansanso in the Ashanti Region is a deprived farming and fishing community in the Asante Akyem North District with about two thousand inhabitants.

The community is without potable water, no motorable road, no health facility, no police station, and until recently no housing structure for the only government school serving the community.

In 2021, the educational challenge of the community was brought to the attention of the Kessben Outreach Foundation. Under the sponsorship of the Multi Credit Savings and Loans Limited, a member of the Kessben Group, powered by Kessben Fm in Accra and Kumasi and Television, with support from loyal listeners, Kessben Outreach Foundation led a project to build a new and ultra-modern six-unit classroom block for the community.

The GHc1.2m new school building was handed over to Mrs. Mildred Ama Agyepong, the Asante Akyem North Municipal Director of Education at a colourful ceremony over the weekend by Lawyer Stephen Boateng, Chairman of the Kessben Group of Companies, supported by Mrs. Eunice Appiah Boateng, CEO of Kessben Outreach Foundation after the building was dedicated by Rt Rev Bishop Osei Sarfo Kantanka(Rtd).

Also in attendance was Mr Sammy Adu Boakye, Project Co-ordinator and manager of KOF, and staff of the Kessben Group.

In a short speech to receive the new building, the Municipal Director of Education expressed gratitude for the enormous gesture of KOF stating that over the years many organizations that promised to help the community with a school failed but KOF has fulfilled the promise in a record time of a little over one year.

She promised to ensure that the structure will be maintained at all times and put to good use.

The community’s inhabitants who could not hide their composed a special song and sang in praise of Lawyer Stephen Boateng. There was also a special football match to mark the occasion.
