The suspended Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who filed to contest the primaries for the vacant Buem seat has reportedly been disqualified him by the party.

Meanwhile, a group calling itself Friends of Kofi Adams has served notice it will petition the Party to explain the decision.

Spokes person for the group, Iddrisu Hamdu told citi news that “We will petition the party but also organize within the constituency for him to go [contest] as an independent candidate.”

“The party must explain to the whole world the article the used within the constitution of our party [NDC] to disqualify Kofi Adams. We are charging on Asiedu Nketia and his cohorts to come out and tell us where and when there has been any article against him [Adams].”
