150 years of Sagrenti War Symposium: The ‘History of Asante’ Book launched
Asanteman is currently commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Sagrenti War with a Symposium at the KUNUST Great Hall.
The Segrent war which took place in 1874 is part of the celebration of the silver Jubilee of Otumfuo Oseii the second as Asantehene.
Speakers at the event include the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu the 2nd, Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin with Prof Tom Mccsaskie of Birmingham, and Emmanuel Akyeampong of Havard University as the Keynote speakers.
A book titled The History of Asante authored by Otumfuo Agyemang the second and edited by McKasskie was launched at the Symposium.
