I am ready for the number 10 jersey – Albert Adomah

England-based midfielder Albert Adomah says he is ready to serve the nation in the famous number 10 jersey.

The Bristol City player, who will be making his first appearance at the Nations Cup, takes over the iconic shirt number after the final 23 man squad was released by Akwasi Appiah on Wednesday.

Andre Ayew wore the famous shirt in last year’s tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea when Ghana finished fourth.

“With Ghana when you have [wear] the number it means you are supposed to play in your position but honestly it doesn’t really matter about numbers anymore when you are on the pitch anymore.”

“Asamoah Gyan wears number 3 but he plays as a striker but like I said it’s about what you can do on the pitch. It is a privilege to wear the number 10 jersey and I can confidently say I am ready to serve my nation.”
