13.00 – President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs says the machine for the verification process in his area has broken down and therefore not aiding his wife, as well as some subjects, to vote. He is therefore pleading that they be allowed to vote since their names are on the sheets.
He has however threatened that if they are not allowed to vote, they will not accept the results.
14.50 – Isaac Ahiale from the Ketu North Constituency at the Heheme Primary School reports that though about 441 registered persons have cast their ballot, but only 111 have voted and the turnout is very poor. He says there is no queue presently.
14.40 – Nii Armah Ashitey, National Democratic Congress NDC candidate for the Klottey-Korle Constituency tells Citi News he is well and not dead like media reports suggest.
He says he is looking forward to winning the seat after the elections.
14.25 – The President, John Dramani Mahama has cast his ballot in the Bole Bamboi Constituency.
He appeals to citizens to go back to their constituencies and cast their ballot for those who were not able to do so in the morning.
He indicated that “the price wise people pay for not voting is to be governed by fools.”

In the Teshie Nungua Estate area, two polling stations experienced a black out but it has been sorted out. EC officials say the exercise may be halted when it’s getting dark because there is no lightening system.
At La Dadekotopon, she reports that things have been calm. Most of the voters didn’t vote for Parliamentary candidate and one gentleman voted twice. The matter has been resolved and one of the votes will be rejected according to EC Officials.
At Labone Secondary School, she indicates that polling station was calm and peaceful.

He says there has been a significant reduction in the use of motorbikes.

Anthony Akoto Osei, incumbent MP for Old Tafo Pankrono Constituency also confirms that the reports of the ballot box snatching are not true.
