Joe Ghartey Supports Ahanta Queenmothers Education Fund

Hon. Joe Ghartey has presented an undisclosed sum of money to the Ahanta Traditional Council to be used as seed money for the Ahanta Queenmothers Education Fund.

He made this presentation at the Second Quarter General Council Meeting of Ahanta Traditional Council held on Wednesday, 1st September 2021 at Busua.

The meeting was chaired by Otumfour Baidoo Bonsoe XV, Ahantahene and President of the Ahanta Traditional Council. The purpose of the Education Fund is to support education in general within the Ahanta Traditional Area in general, with a special focus on girl child education.

Addressing the gathering Hon Joe Ghartey noted that under Agenda 111 l, the Western Region would not just get a new Regional Hospital but also the Effia Nkwanta hospital would see a major upgrade.

He also mentioned the extensive road development projects that had been announced by the Regional Minister, Hon Koby Otchere Darko and said this and other developments indicated that Western Region was received development.
