Kotoko finally win, Medeama still top league and Hearts lose again

Asante Kotoko found their groove on Sunday as they got back into the chase for the title by earning their first win of the season with an emphatic 2-0 triumph over ailing Berekum Arsenals at the Baba Yara Stadium.
It looked like being the same old story for the Porcupine Warriors, who had drawn their first four matches, when Michael Helegbe and Joseph Ochaya scored two second-half goals to end their poor run.
Arsenals proved tough customers for Kotoko in the opening 45 minutes as their plans of frustrating the home teams appeared to work to perfection.
But nine minutes after recess, Helegbe pounced on a cross and connected before their Ugandan import, Ochaya doubled their lead.
The win lifts Kotoko to fifth on the standings and 6 points off the summit.
And the win will serve as a timely boost ahead of their crucial visit to the Tartwa T&A Park where they face leaders, Medeama next Sunday.
