Ghanaian Players Struggle In Europe

Black Stars regulars and hopefuls were in action on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in European competitions but had contrasting fortunes.
Bernard Yao Kumordzi, struggling to hold down a place in Belgium as he is in the national team, lost. Here’s the wrap.
Europa League
Bennard Yao Kumordzi came on the three minutes into stoppage time for Belgian side Racing Genk as they beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1. The two Ayew lads lost 2-0, suffering an unsurprising down against Bayern Monchengladbach from Germany. Jordan played all ninety minutes while Andre came on after 65 minutes.
Also, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu returned, playing 46 minutes, from his earlier crock to play in Udinese’s 3-1 defeat at Young Boys.
Champions League
New Black Stars sensation Christian Atsu was introduced after 64 minutes against Dynamo Kiev. They won 3-2 and now are unbeaten in Group A. For Real Madrid, a 2-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund, now atop the group, left the Special One scratching his head, but Michael Essien at left back was on point for the Blancos.
When Nordsjaelland drew 1-1 with Juventus, Enock Adu Kofi played all ninety minutes for the Danes at the Parken. Kwadwo Asamoah did not play as he recovers from a small knock. Kevin-Prince Boateng was not part of the Milan side that lost 1-0 against Malaga as he was not selected to travel with the side.
