Schuster follows Tardelli in snubbing Ghana coaching job

Former Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster has denied on German television his interest in coaching Ghana’s Black Stars.
Despite an announcement by the Ghana Football Association on its official website, ghanafa.org that Schuster had been included in the shortlist of coaches for the vacant job due to the late withdrawal of former Dutch international Patrick Kluivert, the ex-German international told Dutch premium television service Sport1 on Monday evening that he is not interested in the job.
Schuster revealed that his agent drew his attention to the vacancy but he did not give any approval for an application to be sent on his behalf.
The ex-Getafe and Malaga boss noted that whilst he has observed the Black Stars from afar, he expressed surprise that his name had been included in the coaching shortlist for the job, since he had not indicated any interest in the job.
Coming on the heels of the withdrawal of Marco Tardelli on Monday evening, the latest development leaves Avram Grant, Juan Ignacio Jimenez and Michel Pont as the remaining coaches on the shortlist ahead of scheduled interviews this weekend by the GFA.
