Dr. Bawumia Is Well Composed And Knowledgeable In His Responses

A member of the government’s communication team has stated that Dr. Bawumia has done well because it is not easy to stand in the witness box to answer questions from the different lawyers.
He said that he as well as many Ghanaians were with the expectation that Nana Akufo-Addo was going to stand in the witness box; adding quickly that the case is such that a technical and knowledgeable person who is endowed in figures is needed and Dr. Bawumia is good in that capacity as an economist.
Speaking on Okay FM, he said that Dr. Bawumia is well composed and knowledgeable in his responses to the cross examinations; but then he said that there are some bothering issues which must be addressed in the NPP and this has to do with the age of Nana Akufo-Addo which will not permit him to stand for the next election.
Kwame Dombey reiterated that the age of Akufo-Addo will be a worry for him because he will not be lucky like former President J.A Kuffour and the late Professor Adu-Boahen; in that when they felt cheated in their previous elections they had the second chance to stand for the party.
He added that the people are claiming Nana Akufo-Addo is active but to him the possibility that he (Nana Addo) will stand for the party in the next election is low as far as his age is concerned; indicating that his (Kwame Dombey’s) assessment of age which is 70 years gives him no hope, hence the ploy of the petitioners to mount plan B to use the court case to keep the party in hostage and remain in power for the next election.
He also identified one of the problems of the NPP to be that the party placed too much emphasize on the ballot boxes as they made noise about protecting the boxes against “macho men” while little or no attention was given to the pink sheets and the calculation .
He further hinted that the polling agents of the NPP always are in a hurry to sign the pink sheets without checking the results they are signing against; stressing that the petitioners are deceiving themselves with the number of evidence they purport to have in the case because according to him the cross examination of Tsatsu Tsikata has revealed that they double-counted the pink sheets and named them with different exhibit numbers.
He recounted that the number of evidence which the petitioners have presented to the Supreme Court do not match with the figures they allege to have filed to the Supreme Court.
