Wash Bay Attendant rewarded after returning lost Polythene Bag full of cash to Kessben FM

You have probably heard the common phrase “honesty is the best policy.”

That rings true for Wash Bay Attendant at Adum KMA Shell who returned a lost Polythene Bag full of cash to Kessben 93.3 FM.

On Tuesday 13/7/2021, a team from Kessben Media led by Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye rewarded Mr. Obeng, affectionately called Agyabeng with a TV Set and One Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc 1000) for his good deed.

Background…

Meet Mr. Obeng, affectionately called Agyabeng, a man in his fifties and a worker at KMA Shell as a washing bay attendant. He has returned an undisclosed amount of money he found at the newly built Kejetia Market in Kumasi.

In an interview with our reporter, he recounts stepping on an unusual polythene bag at the “trotro” station on his way to work at Adum.

He decided to check it, opened it and to his surprise, it was money, and a huge amount to be precise. Got confused that very moment and decided to return it to Kessben Media. Surprising! Isn’t it? Yes, Because you can imagine how much he earns in a day as a washing bay attendant. And you can bet that this is something most people find hard to do. Being a Christian and a member of St. Catholic Church at Sepe Tempom a suburb of Kumasi, we say thank you and God bless you for exhibiting good morals and that we celebrate you for being the good man that you are.
